Every Mother Deserves a Supported Birth
About Me
Hi, I’m Kenzie
I’m a wife, a mom to two little ones, and a Denver-based birth doula supporting women through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.
My path into this work started after having my own babies and walking alongside close friends as they entered motherhood. I found myself naturally stepping into the role of encourager, steady presence, and support person.
I’m currently working toward my certification through DONA, while gaining hands-on experience supporting families through pregnancy, labor, and postpartum.
Outside of birth work, you can usually find me baking sourdough, keeping up with my kids, attempting to keep my plants alive (new plant girl over here), or spending time with friends and family.
Why I became a doula
After having my own children, I saw just how much birth can shape you. And while it can be beautiful, it can also feel overwhelming. There’s so much information, so many opinions, and so many unknowns.
I became a doula because I believe women deserve steady, supportive care during the most beautiful thing they will ever accomplish.
Someone who can help you feel more calm when things feel intense, remind you of your strength, and support you in a way that feels aligned with what you want for your birth. Every birth is different, and my role is simply to meet you where you are and support you in a way that feels grounded, informed, and personal.
If this feels like the kind of support you’ve been looking for, I’d love to connect.

A doula is a trained, non-medical birth professional who provides continuous emotional, physical, and informational support to a birthing person before, during, and after birth.
Unlike doctors or midwives, a doula does not perform medical tasks or make clinical decisions. Instead, a doula’s role is to support you — your comfort, your preferences, your confidence, and your overall birth experience — no matter what kind of birth you choose.
Doulas work alongside your medical team to help you feel informed, supported, and empowered throughout labor and birth.
-
Birth is unpredictable, intense, and deeply personal. Having a doula means you are not navigating it alone.
A doula provides:
Continuous support when hospital staff change shifts
Calm, grounded presence during intense moments
Hands-on comfort measures like positioning, breathing support, massage, and counter-pressure
Emotional reassurance and encouragement
Evidence-based information to help you understand your options
Support for both the birthing person and their partner
Many families say their doula helped them feel more confident, heard, and supported — regardless of how their birth ultimately unfolded.
-
Yes. Research consistently shows that having continuous labor support (like that provided by a doula) is associated with:
Shorter labors
Lower rates of cesarean birth
Reduced use of pain medication
Fewer birth interventions
Higher satisfaction with the birth experience
Just as importantly, many parents report feeling more emotionally supported and empowered, even when birth doesn’t go exactly as planned.
-
Not at all. A doula supports your partner, too.
Your partner gets to stay emotionally present instead of feeling pressure to “do everything right.” Doulas help guide partners with comfort techniques, give reassurance when things feel overwhelming, and step in when rest is needed — without ever taking over.
Most partners say having a doula made them feel more confident and involved, not less.

I don’t just support birth — I’ve lived it in two very different ways.
Having experienced two unmedicated births, I understand firsthand how unpredictable and transformative birth can be. No two labors are the same, and I bring that perspective into how I support my clients: with flexibility, intuition, and deep respect for your unique experience.
Beyond that, I’m a natural encourager. I have a steady, calming presence and the ability to meet you exactly where you are — whether you need reassurance, quiet support, or someone to gently remind you of your strength in the moment.
For clients who desire it, I’m also able to incorporate faith into your birth space. I can hold space for prayer, speak truth and encouragement, and support you in a way that aligns with your beliefs — always led by your preferences and comfort level.
My goal isn’t to fit you into a specific kind of birth.
It’s to help you feel safe, supported, and confident in your birth.
